Now that makes our round up: 2 year old, 4 year old, & jumping 6 year old:

In August, we spent all of the sunny days outside--on walks, at the parks, in our yard, at the lakes, at the nature center...oh the nature center. I don't think I have ANY photos from that place but we love it--rocks, sand, water, plants, trees, sticks...unlimited creative outdoor play. Truly a summery place.

August is a great month to enjoy the spinning days of summer:

Our Nathan is full of energy-- creative, funny, quick witted, ready to play, always making faces, coming up with plans to build, expand, and enlighten. He and his siblings have non-stop fun together and their summer adventures have been heavenly to watch. This is his pirate eye at the beach:

 

On Mr. N's birthday there was a festival of sorts not far from our house--free food samples, a bouncy house, a firetruck, a police car & safety professionals...and our favorite entertainers, the Hurleys, were there doing face painting--can you THINK of a better birthday party!?!?

 Our trio seriously jumped for over an hour--at the end when everyone was leaving and taking down, they just kept jumping. It was awesome, they had a blast and the birthday boy was beyond himself.

We are so grateful for the compassionate, generous, creative, and strong energy that you bring into our family, Nathan. You are a joy to be around and we are so proud of the awesome things you are learning and doing as a BIG BOY! FOUR is amazing. And so are you!
