After a busy & wonderful trip in July,
August was low key & fabulous!
We enjoyed colorful lunches outside on the deck
We made mud pies, ate mud pies, swung on a rope & in a swing
went on many neighborhood walks
We discovered that Miss N likes the color blue
(on her lips!)
And continued our adventures in Mr. N's backwards dressing style (in addition to BEGINNING his adventures in potty training!)
We helped Dad work on the fence pieces
and when he was done with them,
we designed our own projects.
(Safety first-green helmet)
We enjoyed a visit from Uncle Tyler
(on his way back to school in UT!)
We ate lots of lunches outside.
And! The gate that Dad dreamed up?
He made it our fence reality!
J earned money to buy a scooter
The boys spent hours playing in our backyard pool
The kids spent a fun week on this 200 piece outer space puzzle
(some demolition caused several set backs along the way,
but we finally made it!)
We met some friends at the Mall of America
to MEET
the CAT in the HAT!
We played outside.
And on our bikes.
And in the yard.
And in the driveway.
And in the awesome gated fence.
We celebrated THREE years with Mr. N in our lives
We became artists on our new chalkboard
We acquired our first pet
(beta fish named "Shiny")
We sang lots of songs,
danced lots of dances,
and played the piano in our undies.
We started & finished many a project
We worked together
joyfully!
We made preschool co-op plans
and saw all of our friends with their first day of school photos!
We went to our first 'phase in' day of Montessori...
which was lovely
And we wondered if a summer
could be any better
than this very one
that we've travelled, hosted, discovered, played, built, & celebrated!
August was magical
