School Days {2013}

I decided on a whim that I'd love to do a
"school days" photo shoot with the kids
separate from the rush of "first day of school" photos
(which I will still be snapping, no doubt)

Trevor was wonderful (as usual) to wash off the chalk board, help me hang the bunting flags, & carry the school desks from downstairs to upstairs, out the door, and downstairs again.
He goes with my whims, that man...love him.

The kids had fun, excited to see their inside desks sitting outside
& I snapped away. Here are a few:

Miss N wasn't convinced that this was the most fun use of her time...

Love this one:

 ...and this one:

I'm try to avoid labeling people--
but this photo begged for them:

Here's the official rundown of our students:

Miss N (almost 21 months)
eager to test out abstract theories,
get dirty if neccessary, &
help in a wide variety of discoveries
(except during nap time)

Mr. N (3 years old)
excited to have his very own class,
ready to practice writing his name (he can spell it! woohoo!),
and jump in to any experiment
that he deems worthy of his attention
(as long as there are no monsters involved)

Mr. J (5 years old)
enthusiastic about learning,
ready to tackle new challenges,
and on the watch for all manner of natural disasters ("Are there hurricanes in Appalachia?")

Yes, you read that right

We're homeschooling J for kindergarten!

Curious about how that decision came about? (Seems like a common question these days)
Find the answer on my blog HERE.

We even have our very own Homeschooler Educator ID:

Feeling oh-so-official.
And now that it's on the family blog, it truly is.

Happy School Days 2013!

Thank you, Heather! That means so much to me!

Those pictures are seriously so fantastic. You should start a temporary business just for back-to-school photos. You'd have a waiting list. So awesome!

So fun to see the school pictures...and all of the other hard work you did to update your blogs. Way to go!
