Our J
45 months old (3 1/2)
Into everything
with a leap
& a grin
J: March 2012 |
Fascinated by everything
that moves, rumbles, grumbles,
& flies
J: March 2012 |
And he will promptly smile at the camera
if I bribe him with something delicious

J's schedule at 45 months (March 2012)
J wakes up around 8/8:30 and his little pajama-clad legs carry him up the stairs into the bathroom. He turns off the light & shuts the door on his way out but rarely remembers to flush.
If I'm asleep and Daddy is home, he'll go straight to Daddy's office.
If Daddy is away for work, he'll come into our room and charm me to fix his classic oatmeal breakfast--which, of course, I do. (Sometimes he eats yogurt while he's waiting for me to get out of bed or shower or feed Miss N)
After his breakfast we talk about how we slept, any dreams we want to share, and what kind of adventures for the day.
On Tuesdays & Thursdays, J has preschool from 10:15 to 12:15.
On alternating weeks, this is at our house--I teach on those Tuesdays.
A typical Monday or Wednesday usually includes some Dora/Diego show on netflix (so Mommy can finish cleaning something or feeding someone), some swing time, some train building construction, maybe a park walk or zoo visit, and at least once or twice a week--a trip to the store with Mama.
Fridays are fun because Daddy is home 99% of the time on that day. If he is very busy, J only sees him for breakfast and then when he gets done with work later in the afternoon. If he is not very busy--J gets to eat lunch with Daddy and have various breaks with him throughout the work day--those days are our FAVORITES.
Saturdays are busy with city adventures or friend parties or fun projects or cleaning and laundry--often a combination of some of these.
Sundays are very special days when J gets to go to his Primary class! He listens to the Primary music (and sings!) at home during the week but is not interested in singing in the actual Primary singing time. He DOES like to sit by his teacher and he is working on reverence. It is a challenge, but J does great and always looks so cute in his white shirt and tie. His teachers tell us what a good example he is.
We are very proud of you, J!
