N is our little toddler
1 1/2 years old (18 months)

N seems like such a big boy
now that he is a big brother!
He seemed to have grown overnight
the day we brought his baby sister home.
N is now in NURSERY (18 mo-3 year olds "class" at Church)and because he is our second child (sorry, babe!) we did NOT shed any tears the first Sunday that we dropped him off. He is still hesitant, but so far I have been able to inch away & out the door after about 10 minutes or so.
N doesn't say much--but knows how to get what he wants.
He has a small repertoire of signs he uses when he wants "water", "more", "food", "get down", "pick me up", and "get that now".
Some are the traditional ASL, some are his own inventions.
He DOES say "Hiiiiii", "Dah-dee"(Daddy), "nah-nah" (no no!), "Ohh-ehhh" (Noelle), "Mama" (rarely), "teeeeee" (teeth-as in, let's brush them now!), "Shhhhh", "Men!" (Amen) and can make the cutest ANIMAL sounds for: cat, dog, sheep, elephant, monkey, horse, & pig.
He can show you where his:
eyes, feet, toes, elbows, nose, ears, hair, hands, fingers,
and BELLY BUTTON is located on his body :)
N loves:
-to give kisses (especially to his baby sister)
-to cuddle/be held (love our cuddle bug!)
-to ride in the van
-to eat most anything (and feed himself, especially!)
-to play with balls
-to imitate others, especially big brother!
-to dance to any kind of music--especially songs with motions (like "Wheels On The Bus")
-to help clean up (mostly)
-to laugh at his reflection
-to walk-super-fast...almost a run!
-to go up & down the stairs (he has mastered the stairs!)
-to climb on anything (everything!)
-to color/scribble
-to "read" books and be read to, to do very basic puzzles
-to sleep (typically sleeps until 9:30am, naps for 2-3 hours in the afternoon, goes to bed around 8pm)
-to skype with grandparents, aunts, uncles, & cousins
-to play with the computer mouse, cell phones, etc
-to be chased by his brother and/or "the monster" (Daddy)
-to follow his big brother in just about EVERYthing he does
We love our N!

He is so, so, so cute. I seriously love this guy and I haven't even met him. Although not for long! Soon, we will meet! :) And, um, you shed tears when you took Jackson to nursery? No way, man! I was ecstatic when I dropped Owen off. No more walking the halls, whining baby, difficult to keep happy, get nothing out of church days. I was a free woman! Plus, I liked seeing him happy that he got to play with other kids and toys. :) You are much more tender than me. ;)
