First Week Down

Faces of Nathan: Coy, Rockstar, & Confused

For fun with Jackson, all you need is: a puzzle, Thomas the Train, & a stuffed ferret

 The boys + girl & I
survived
our first week
on our own.

We wore pajamas every day, put puzzles together,
lounged on couches, read books, took naps, made popcorn,
colored, watched a few shows, played "I Spy",
did laundry, cleaned toys, and one day...
we even went outside! (54 degrees, people!)

Miss N's first day outside--randomly warm January day:
Miss N in the bouncy seat: front porch sunbathing

This week we also modeled hand quilted bibs
(made by Aunt Jen)
by we, I mean, of course--the little one:

After some crazy moments (three kids screaming!)
and late nights (oh yes, this baby girl likes to party all night long!)
...

Daddy came home!
(much rejoicing!)

and a cuddlefest ensued on the recliner:

Andddd the kids pretty much attacked Daddy

Overall, it wasn't too bad.

The moments that freak me out about being
home alone with three small children

are the moments you cannot plan for or prevent...they just happen, spontaneously & crazily...and then they are over.

I am stronger because of them,
and
I CAN DO THIS!

We like pink socks

And at the end of the day,
this is truly a WONDERFUL life.

I am so blessed*...bring on next week!

Next week includes the luxury of Daddy being home
every night (yay!) but may also include
my first ever outing(s?) with the three little ones in tow.
Wish me luck!

*Also, dear friends from Church provided delicious dinners 3 nights in a row! What a difference these acts of service made to my week! Special thanks to Kristin, Kelly, LeAnne, & Mary.

You've got some great photos. I love the one of Jackson and his ferret flying in the air, and the one of Trevor with a scared look on his face, and all the ones with yours and Noelle's feet and socks. Super cute. Oh, and I might kind of be in love with Nathanael. Way to go on surviving your first week. It sounds like it was a total success. You are awesome and of course can hande anything!
