Our little guy seems to be growing faster every month.
15 months now.
He had his 15 month checkup, these were the stats:
Weight: 22 lbs (17%)
Length: 29 inch (36%)
Head: 18.25 (27%)
For comparison fun, here's J's 15 month blog post from 2009. Interesting that the % in Wisconsin for 22 lbs & the % in Minnesota for 22 lbs is so different, eh?
N is a joy.
He is easy going, almost always smiling (unless hungry or if he gets pushed down by an over-zealous 3 year old), and can mesmerize you with his big blue-green eyes in seconds.
N can now:
-walk, walk, walk (with some falling in between)
-clean up toys after playing with them
-stack several blocks at a time
-give kisses (open mouth, slobbery ones! watch out!)
-dance around with the best of 'em
-point to your nose, ears, & bellybutton (and sometimes his!)
-show you how to be "gentle" to a "baby" (practice only on dolls thus far)
-follow basic instructions
-feed himself with a spoon (sort of--it's a start)
-start to hold his own in a wrestling match w/big bro
N loves to:
-open cabinets in the bathroom & go through the lotions
-put trash in the kitchen trash can
-EAT!! (anything, everything--and no signs of allergies to boot!)
-reading books
-cuddling with soft blankets
-have his pacifier at night
-ride in the car
-play outside (less of that now that it's cold...he longingly looks out the window)
-to swing, slide at the park (again, we've only done this once or twice this month...the end of our outside fun in the sun for awhile)
-following big brother EVERYWHERE
-touching Mama's belly
-cuddling
-skyping with grandparents
N isn't saying much yet...
I have heard him say "Mama" maybe 2 times, and a firm "No" maybe three times.
He has his own version of ASL signs for "more", "water", "up" and "down"--and loves songs like Wheels On The Bus that include lots of hand movements.
...but he is sleeping great (12-15 hrs/night), shines his happy smile so often that it's strange to see him without it (teething!), has 8 teeth, loves to be tickled, and has impressive motor skills (he picks up the tiniest pieces of fuzz and hands them to me on a regular basis).
We love this little guy.
By next month, he'll be a big brother...wild!

this little guy will seem L A R G E compared to the new baby....these will be the same distance apart basically as Joseph and Ben. I definitely remember getting lots of rocking time with Joseph after Ben was born...he was still a snuggle bug too, and liked me to rock and read. ( Thankfully your big boy J is bigger than you were...think how much he has changed in the last 9 months ( last March!) Big difference at that age...more skilz/communication..I know you will do great..it won't be without its moments, for SURE. But also lots of awesomeness!
