15 months today

Tried to do a "15 month photo shoot"--just me, the boy, and our little point-and-shoot...sounds easy, right?

Riiiiight.

"Easy Photo Shoot With Toddler"

That's like saying
"Hold a herd of cattle in your hands"

Or something crazy like that.

Today is 15 months--
Here are the stats:

Weight: 22 lbs 13 oz (50%)

Length: 29 in (3%)--? Am I reading this chart right? The dr. did ask if he's always been short...um. yup.

Head Circ: 19.09 in. (90%) We love that head!

J can now:
-show you his: bellybutton, ear, and toes
-dance, clap, and get down like no other
-say in English: Dada, Baby, Quack Quack, Woof Woof, Meaow, Tweet Tweet, Moo, Ball, 'Nana, Bye Bye
-say in his language: "Bougabougabougabougabougabougabougabougabouga"= 'I am not happy with this situation & "Yaboudaboudaboudaboudaboudaboudaboudaboudabouda"= 'I am happy now'
-give 'five', do the 'hand bump', give kisses
-imitate on demand
-WALK WALK WALK RUN RUN RUN
-open doors, drawers, cabinets, etc etc etc.
J's favorite things:
-eating (anything, always...current favorite-favorites=bananas, animal crackers, and peas)
-opening cabinets
-walking (running!)
-reading books
-dancing to ANY beat (music, songs, the sound of our dishwasher...)
-exploring outside (rocks, leaves, and of course--any animal!)
-playing ball
-coloring (strictly supervised)
-"talking" on his cell phone
-turning lights on & off
-cuddling with his blankets
-skyping with grandparents
Mama's favorite things:
-Still nursing, and he doesn't bite!
-Sleeps like a pro (at least 12 hrs per night--sometimes 15!)
-The smile to melt my heart
-Having him run to me after being apart
-Teaching him new words
-Seeing his excitement EVERY day
-Hearing him say "Jesus"
Daddy's favorite things:
-feeding him breakfast on Sat & Sun mornings
-"Man Time" when Mama goes out or needs some down time
-Cuddling at night & checking on him while he's sleeping
-Chasing around the house
-Playing ball after dinner
-Bathtime!
-Hearing him say "Da Da" and point to me

We are enjoying the Toddler Ride! J is getting so independent and letting us know what he wants--it is fascinating to watch him learn. At the 15 month dr. visit today, the dr. gave me a pamphlet entitled "Temper Tantrums: A Normal Part of Growing Up."

Ummm...

YIKES!!

So so cute. He and William have so many similarities in what they are doing and what they like/dislike right now. Oh how they have to meet....

WOW 15 months! I remember coming to your house after he was born and seeing this red headed baby sleeping peacefully in his little basket in the living room and my kids so excited to see him and wanting to touch him and then waking him up. OOPS! Oh how time flies! What a cutie!

Lily even danced to the fax machine at that age! So cute! Hmmm...maybe I should have read that paper that the doctor gave me, enjoy this time, independence is coming and it's a little tiresome!
