Welcome To Our New Place

We have been here now for a month,
I guess it's time for a mini home tour?

This is the front door, you come in onto a tile landing & then come upstairs to the main floor.

The first room you see as you come up the stairs: the living room.

Off of the living room is the deck (without stairs to the yard)

When you get to the top of the stairs, the living room (see above) is on the left. The hallway is in front of you & to the right. Down the hallway, you come to the master bedroom, the office, and a bathroom.

After coming up the stairs--directly in front of you/slightly to the left (now the living room is behind you to the left & the hallway is to your right) are the kitchen & dining areas.

The kitchen is all updated, it's my favorite room in the house! The island is such a great workspace & has become the official "table" at which the boys eat their meals. LOVE.

View from standing in front of the sliding glass doors (that go out to the deck)

View from standing further back in the living room

Another angle of the kitchen/dining area from the living room
Ok, then you go downstairs. We were under the impression this was a basement, but it is not (go ahead & laugh--how can you be confused about a basement?) Well it was ADVERTISED as having a basement and when we quickly walked through before signing (you have to be quick, the renting market up here is HOPPIN') paperwork, we just assumed it was.

Top on our looking list was:
-a private yard (preferrably fenced)
-basement
-attached garage
-within budget limit
-close to airport/cities/temple

After a couple of days of frustrating hunting, we found this twinhome which had the updates we were looking for plus all of the above. It is definitely a downsize in living space & garage space, so that has been a fun challenge, but we are grateful to have found such a great place for our little family!

Downstairs main room. Den/playroom area. Also has sliding glass doors out to a small patio & the back yard.

View of the den/playroom downstairs from another view. The white door there is the boys room (mostly just J's room right now), and next to that room is a bathroom. There is also an under-stairs closet & a laundry room and that's it. The garage takes up the rest of the bottom floor space.
