N: 9 months

Ok, seriously. I have no idea how this time keeps buzzing past us...

our little Nathan is 9 months old!

Nathan has started to really open up and be bold with his personality.

He is very playful & loves a good laugh.

He likes to be tickled under his chin, behind his neck, on his belly, his feet, and legs!

Even at 3am, he is ready for a laugh...he will take his pacifier and put it in your mouth...then take it away again!!

He can also be very serious:

His hair is coming in a bit thicker, it seems light brown *most* of the time, but sometimes, with the right lighting--takes on a shade of red (I think these photos illustrate this).

He is sleeping good (again), after a few weeks of challenging cries and unhappiness.

We have found happiness again!

Nathan is enjoying his adventures in solid foods. So far he eats:

-peas

-green beans

-asparagus

-apple sauce

-peaches

-bananas

-carrots

-sweet potatoes

-rice cereal

AND

-puff finger food

He nurses several times a day & typically once in the middle of the night. He is MUCH happier after he eats (aren't we all?). Nathan enjoys riding in the car, in a stroller, and being carried. He is VERY interested in all toys belonging to big brother & is finding ways to expand his own toy collection.

He crawls all over the place, pulls himself up, and sits up on his knees. He has recently discovered and gained a strong interest in...

THE STAIRS

We did not have stairs when J was small...so this will be new territory for us.

So far, no falls.

Nathan weighs 17.8 lbs and is in the upper percentile for his weight...I can't remember what it was for height but he's short. Like his brother, he's hefty & small.
