J: 35 months

In case you were wondering...
J has rocked the potty training experience.

That first week was, of course, an experiment in patience and laundry. And, we did have a hiccup with the whole automatic flusher thing (still a bit hesitant on that one...), but overall, he has made this part of parenting seem fairly low key. He transitioned into night time underwear without much difficulty--those chocolate chips sure worked their magic!!

Now J can move onto all kinds of BIG BOY things...like...
reading books called The English Roses with Daddy
(he almost always chooses this book when Daddy is home because Daddy does all kinds of English/Cockney accents as he reads it)

We have noticed that J has some interest in interior design.

Here are a few things he has placed around the house lately:

Glow worm In A Glass Bowl: Kitchen

Pink Bunny In The Bouncer: Playroom

Star Stickers On The Blanket Trunk: Family Room

Ferret & Rock In A Pie Pan, On The Couch: Family Room

One of the other *big changes* that occurred when J started to potty train, was the time that he gets up in the mornings. This Mama has been so spoiled with amazing sleeping babies...and now...this big boy is jumping up & going potty around 6:30/7am every morning! He is ready to take on the world (while I am most definitely NOT) at that time...

...some of his early morning adventures include:

-spilling cereal all over the kitchen floor
-drawing with a permanent marker (yes, on the carpet too)
-helping himself to tomato sauce that was in the fridge
-arranging all of his stuffed animals on the couch

and...as shown below:

-attempting to open yogurt with scissors (yogurt he got from the fridge, scissors he acquired from the box on TOP of the fridge)

J is becoming more & more of HIMSELF every day. His phrases and ideas add flavor and humor to our every day adventures.

A few of his favorite things:

-trains
-dinosaurs
-snacks
-coloring
-building blocks
-throwing balls
-reading books
-singing songs
-running "around in circles"
-riding his tricycle
-going to nursery on Sundays
-skyping with Nana & Papa
-talking on the phone with Grandmama

The first thing J says in the morning is:
GOOD MORNING!!
I SLEEP GOOD!

He always wakes up with a smile,
we can't help but smile right along with him!

One more month 'till 3!

I'm so glad potty training has gone so well. Awesome. Spencer calls the automatic toilets the "magic potties" and always asks me first if it's a magic potty before he sits on it. way to go! i cant believe he's almost 3 already!!
