Saturday Was The 6th Annual...

Kane County
TOUCH-A-TRACTOR Day!

After planning for weeks (months?)
to attend Bacon Fest in Chicago on Saturday, we found out that:
a) It requires a purchased ticket
and
b) the tickets had sold out

So we cruised the internet for another fun Saturday activity...and the TOUCH A TRACTOR day seemed perfect!
Only a short drive away, free, and the weather was PERFECT.

There were ALL kinds of tractors.
Large, small, antique, new, big tires, small tires...the event provided an impressive
display to tickle any kids heart!

There was also a little petting zoo and an indoor farming display (the event was sponsored and on the grounds of the County Agricultural Bureau.

We had a great time...
MOSTLY.

J got scared after climbing on the first tractor and hearing a loud beeping from the horn on one of other tractors.

Unfortunately, most of the rest of the time he was doing something like this:

Despite his uncertainties & little crying moments we still had a go of it.
We tried many things and he did climb up on a few more tractors but was down again in lightening speed. We walked around to enjoy as much of it as we could before he had officially *had it*. After we left he was fine...we went shopping, out for dinner (my first time at Buffalo Wild Wings: YUM), and enjoyed the warm sunshine together!

J's fear of public restrooms held strong that day too...he came home 5 hours later with dry undies (awesome!)...he's now been accident free for two weeks! YAY!
