Baby N: 8 Months

Today is the day.

Baby N is 8 months old.

I can't get over how fast time flies.

When you're havin' fun, of course.

And fun we have: DAILY!

This little guy is growing so fast.

Fully filling his 6-9month clothes (some fitting a bit snug, even!),

he is trying his hardest to keep up with big brother!

If J is playing with trains,

N wants to play with trains.

If J is eating snacks,

N wants to eat snacks.

If J is coloring on paper,

N wants to eat the paper...

Baby N continues to be our "loves to be held" baby.

He does spend a nice amount of time crawling all over our house (even has attempted the first stair, and pulled some books of the shelf this week!), sitting with us when we're all playing on the floor, or chillin' in his swing--but--most often, he just wants to be held.

It's his thing, and we enjoy holding him most of the time.

We just acquired a jumperoo for him to practice his legwork--

but he's not sure about it yet.

I am hoping he will love it as much as J loved his.

I didn't get very many 8 month pics this morning, he just wasn't in the mood. Perhaps he thinks I take too many photos of him?? He has a ba-zillion awesome facial expressions, and the more I snap, the more I capture, so I love it!

He likes to raise his right eyebrow and continues to get compliments on his "big eyes". They are darker blue than J's, and equally as beautiful!

Baby N:

-has no teeth

-sleeps in our closet (typically at least 12 hrs/night)

-still gets at least 1 nap/day

-has begun eating solid foods (bananas, rice cereal, oat cereal, prune juice)

-crawls faster than a speeding bullet (or so it seems)

-has the sharpest finger nails EVER

-has a favorite blanket

-puts most everything in his mouth

-likes his pacifier

-enjoys a nice ride in the car

-likes to be outside

-loves to swing at the park (this week was his first!)

-bops to music

-is still working sitting up with confidence

-has ticklish toes

-tries to pick up the bubbles in the bath tub

-says things like "dah-dah-dah" and "aye-aye-aye"

-loves looking at the 'other baby' in the mirro

-enjoys reading books with big brother

...and is generally enthralled with

most everything that big brother says or does...

We are loving the stages our boys are in right now.

Baby N is learning every day--it's fascinating to watch his interaction with his big brother and the things he gets to learn twice as fast as J does (by virtue of having an extra little person around to show him the ropes). Baby N is a joy--his giggles and conversation babble melts our hearts. We cherish our cuddle time with this little guy--he is definitely our favorite 8 month old!
