Baby N is the highlight of our lives these days,
reminding us of how fun it is to have a baby in our home.
At 2 months, Baby N:
DRINKS MILK
-eats about every 2-3 hours
-officially is a 'one-side-per-feeding' nursing baby (as opposed to Baby J who insisted on both sides per feeding)
-spits up less since we switched to the above schedule
-has not had a bottle (but does sometimes like a pacifier)
SLEEPS
-several naps a day, including 1 longer one in the morning
-through the night--typically 11pm to 8am-ish
-in the Moses basket set up in the pack 'n play bassinet
-likes to nap on Mama or Daddy's chest
-also likes to nap in the swing
PREFERS
-to be held
-to be sung to
-to listen to the hair dryer (or the 75 minute long hair dryer CD that Mama recently acquired)
-to be changed immediately upon dirtying a diaper
-riding in the car--only if it's MOVING
-to hang out in the sling or bjorn
SMILES
-when he hears/sees Mama, Daddy, & big brother!
-especially in the morning
-when we play peek-a-boo games
-with gurgles, coos, and slobber
MOVES
-his arms all the time
-kicks his feet
-pushes his legs down when held upright
-keeps his head up during tummy time
-tries to sit up with his tummy muscles when propped up
BABY BODY
-much of his hair has fallen out, leaving short spikes on top and a tuft of strait, darker hair in the back
-has had minimal baby acne (esp compared to Baby J who didn't even get a "2 month blog post" because we weren't taking many pics!)
-is starting to have a flaky scalp (hoping the 'cradle cap' isn't too bad)
-belly button is very deep and still healing, actually
-has a *bit* of 'stork bite' * on his right eyelid--more noticeable when he is hot or after crying
-super soft skin
-dark blue eyes
-light eyebrows
-...PERFECTION...
We are so blessed to have Baby N in our family!

love the pics and update.. he's a roly poly! what's a "stork bite?"
* "Macular patch hemangioma or salmon patch hemangioma (or stork bite, stork's kiss) is a more or less transient birthmark present on almost all Caucasian babies. It deep pink in color and is commonly is found on the eyelids, forehead, and nape of the neck. Even when it is fairly pronounced initially, this birthmark will fade away within a few months, although it may be faintly visible even in adulthood if the individual is very fair skinned." ~Dr. Hull.com encyclopedia index
I also had 'stork bite' as a baby, above my nose, in between my eyebrows. It will faintly show up if my face gets very red--like after running or some hard cardio exercise.
He is absolutely adorable! I love his rolly, chubby body. What an amazing sleeper. You are so lucky to have that. And I love the idea of the hair dryer CD. Owen loves that sound too.
He is so scrumptious!!
So cute! Love the second picture with the bubbles!
I can't believe he is 2 months old! He is a cutie!! A 75 minute hair dryer CD?? Where do you find these things?
