While We Wait

That's me & Tha Belly--39 weeks + 4 days (on Friday)...looking ripe, eh?

Clearly, we're STILL HERE (me & tha belly),
and here's a run down of a few things that we've been up to
~while we wait~

WE HAVE...

Outfitted the loft for guests:
The 'guest loft' is now complete with a comfortable guest bed, space for your luggage, an extra fan for summer comfort, and new 'privacy curtains' to make sure you feel like it's your very own space! We'll be welcoming grandparents this month and after we are all more settled, we'd love to have more family & friends come for visits!

Gone to the pool:
J loves the water, loves to splash, and mostly--loves to JUMP into your arms. Lemme tell ya, it's an exhausting venture--but a great way to wear him out before naptime!
Checked heartbeats
I go for weekly appointments (now, bi-weekly) to check out Baby Nathan's heartbeat--and J wants to make sure the heartbeat is thumping strong in HIS belly as well--sound effects included!
Been extra- silly
The plans have been switched a bit, since Grandmama & Granddaddy decided to drive home from their UT/MT vacation instead of fly...giving them the opportunity to re-route through the Chicago area on their way home. Grandmama is staying to help with Baby, & we had a great time for the few days Granddaddy was able to stay as well!
Gone to IKEA
where we ate Swedish meatballs, played with bright colored toys, made a few purchases, and enjoyed the energy of one of the coolest stores EVER...
Made a last-minute purchase
...our very FIRST recliner!

My Mom got her first recliner when she had her 2nd baby, so I figure it's time for me to have one too (ha!). This was also our last haul with The Justy (Trevor's beloved, gheto-looking, 43 mpg white car), as Dad drove it back to TN (Trevor uses his 'company car' now & we don't need 3 cars). Dad & Trevor were SO PROUD of their strapping-rigging job and relished all of the points and looks they got from the Sam's parking lot all the way to our driveway.
Relaxed
...in the new recliner, oh yes! I slept in it the first night & had the best sleep that I'd had in weeks!
Created magic
...We took the recliner box & turned it into a PLAYHOUSE. Granddaddy was the master-engineer and did all of the design work & construction. When he was done, Grandmama & I were the exterior designers:
Explored New Places
When J woke up from his nap, it was like Christmas morning! He was so excited to explore his "new house" and it has provided hours of enjoyment!
Enjoyed down time
I had originally planned on having my Mom here about week #3 after Baby N's arrival but with their switch in travel plans, it's been nice to have her here. I do hope he comes sooner than later so we can really maximize this time...although just hangin' out is really nice too!
Gone to church
I am not sure how we're going to do it with 2 little ones (any tips/tricks?)...because J has become a handful. Two handfuls. Four handfuls. He's just busy and it's hard to sit still for that first hour. I don't blame him, he's 2. But still.
Taken photos to document the belly adventures
...and trying to enjoy the moments in between. Trevor has been busy with work but he has blocked out several days this week. He is encouraging Baby N to come as soon as he can!

It's so funny how I've never actually met your parents in person but I love them so much and think the world of them. They just look SO fun!! The fort turned out awesome. Awesomely. Whatever. ;-)

And I'm happy that you can finally get some much needed sleep in your new recliner!!
It'll be perfect for rocking baby Nathan in.

I'm so glad you've been able to stay busy in these last days. I am really excited for you. I can't believe that rigging your dad an Trevor did with the recliner. Amazing! Also, I totally adore the little house for Jackson. How creative! You're such a good mama. :D
