Well...

...we are still just 3 of us.

Doing laundry...cleaning house...going swimming...watching movies...playing with puzzles...taking naps...making labor-inducing dishes like this:

EGGPLANT PARMAGIANO

We made two full casserole dishes of this eggplanty dish--it's delicious. Anything with that much cheese...I mean, really. I can eat this for breakfast, lunch, & dinner...and I just might!

Keeping ourselves distracted & busy...this morning, we took J to the medical center lab, to get blood work done (testing for allergies of all kinds), and he did PHENOMENAL. He just watched them take his blood--no flinching, moving, or wincing...again. AMAZING.
The kid is just brave with a capital B.

So, our little Nathan must love where he is and is in no hurry to leave.
Can we blame him?

S0 sorry to get you all hyped up.

I have learned my lesson: do NOT post updates online about having a baby unless you are A) at the hospital, having the baby or B) holding the baby in your arms already.

The contractions have stopped, so I guess we were just in PRACTICE MODE.

Here I am today, 40 weeks + 4 days:

I'm feeling ok, really.
I painted my nails & shaved my legs this morning,
so I'm ready to go! :)

Off to meet with the midwife team...

I remember reading about the eggplant parmesan, too (those cheeses look good)! They thought it had to do with the herbs in it. Have you heard about evening primrose oil? I have a friend who is convinced she had labor triggered from eating spicy food. I tried that one, but it didnt work for me - probably because I always like spicy.
Looks like you're having a fun time while you wait!

AHHH!Yes, the waiting game! Of course you can tell when I am expecting because I actually keep up with my blog, face book, ect...No baby, no blog. Glenn posts during my frequent absences.
What makes this strange phenomenon possible? Well, I can't sleep. Who can with all that anticipation and adrenalin coursing through ones veins!?
Hang in there Shara! Just keep swimming!Swimming,Swimming,Swimming!
