Rites of Toddler Passage

So, J has recently become super attached to his BLANKETS.

He calls them "binkies"
and on some occasions I've heard "binkets"

Either way--they're his and they're a serious matter. When we clean them, we have to do it quickly and sneakily to avoid a toddler meltdown. I remember reading on a friends blog about this with their toddler and thinking "wow--I'm so glad J doesn't do that!"--HA HA HA.

The joke is definitely on me.

Further...I remember reading on a friend's blog about toddler furniture art. Again, I was grateful to not have experienced such an adventure at that point.

Well, we've crossed over, folks:

All I can say is, I am SO GLAD that some genius in the Crayola world thought to invent WASHABLE crayons: they.are.magic.

If you have kids and you don't have some, quick--go to the store & then switch them out for what you have. You'll be glad you did.

Seriously, J was able to wash up the entire mess (cabinets, dishwasher, linoleum & all!) all by himself!!
