Our church group hosted a road show this weekend (a play--well, several little plays performed by groups). There was a general theme, but you could go into a direction of present, past, or future.
Our script genius (thank you Sis. G!) wrote a script about two missionaries who go into outer space (future-ish) , have a hard time, and finally find their "golden contact". On the way, the audience is introduced to SEVERAL groups of "aliens" or "characters" that are out of this world.
Can you guess WHO we are?
You should be. He's amazing. Just sayin'.
And so is this miniature WHO:

I have to post a couple of pics of my WHO HAIR because it was such a big (pun intended) deal:

Lots of hairspray, curls, "teasing", and a paper towel tube--and vwa la! Your very own Whoville inspired look!
The performance was excellent--amazing work done by the main characters & hard working director, script-writer, and families of all those involved. Wish YOU could have been there!

seriously? that hair! i know you explained it but wow, i still can't figure out how you did that! and, it doesn't look like a big ol' mess; it looks awesome. so neat and every piece in place whether piled or braided. amazing! they'll hire you backstage for hair/makeup for the next dr. suess movie!
J and Mr. H also look great.. so fun!
Linds: thanks so much! Yes I think I'll start mentioning on FB when I update the blog, it seems to help :)
Bekah: i searched online for ideas/tips on Who Hair & couldn't imagine how mine would turn out any good--it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, you should practice! :) I appreciate that you said it looked "neat & every piece in place" that is one of the qualities of Who Hair (according to my online sources) that it was wild, and high & busy, but not messy--so I'm glad I was able to pull that off. My friend & I practiced the day before & that helped alot & then the day of, I had Trevor help me--it was so much fun!
Yeah, I actually love your WHO LOOK!
it is really CUTE!
This is TOO cute!
You guys looked SO amazing! Love it!
I found your blog through the VanCamps and link over from time to time because our sons are very close in age and it's fun to see what another boy is doing about his age. Love reading about your good mommy and cost cutting strategies too!
Just wanted to comment that our son has an egg and peanut allergy as well and we have given him I'm Healthy SoyNut Butter successfully so if J likes the taste of peanut butter, this is very similar. It's pricey, but would make for a great treat. Also a great website for baking egg/nut free treats is:

Congrats on your newest addition!

AHHH the days of the roadshows. It brings back so many memories growing up. WE always had a blast. The joys of being in an area with more members. Looked like fun! Thanks for sharing.
All of you are adorable...(can adults be adorable???) But seriously...great costumes.
Sorry about the food allergies for J.....but you are so creative, I know you will find fun and delicious ways around that. I have used soy nut butter for my kids when there was a PB ban in school. It was good, a little pricey, but they enjoyed it.
