Valentine Dinner

Sunday afternoon while J & I were finishing our afternoon naps, Trevor was busy in the kitchen--preparing his fancy schmancy Valentine dinner!
He served peach sparkling cider...
...to compliment our ceasar salads, sauteed potatoes & asparagus, pork tenderloin medallions (stuffed with olives, cheese, & mushrooms) wrapped in bacon, resting juicily on a bed of rice...

The guy really knows how to cook. He didn't even look up a recipe, he just went to the store & bought the ingredients that "sounded good". Are you kidding me?!

He's got natural cooking skills to envy, that's for sure.

The meal was fantastic. We were so satisfied, we didn't even get to the cheesecake!

Actually, we both purchased sparkling ciders, desserts, and ingredients for "special Valentines dinners"--so I guess I'll make mine later this week--but his definitely wins the prize for BEST VALENTINE DINNER!

We cleaned up after dinner, video-chatted (via skype) with both sets of grandparents & enjoyed some quality family time together. We told Jackson about Valentine's Day and how much we love him!

Honestly, the love he brings into our hearts & home is just immeasurable.

Can you feel it?
Happy Valentine's Day/Week/Month!

I love that last picture of him with the heart. He is so cute. I seriously love that red hair!

I still think that's so hilarious that you BOTH bought ingredients for a V-day meal. You are a match made in heaven!!

So Josh made me dinner that night too. Bless his well-intentioned heart, but his meal looked NOTHING like Trevor's!! ;-) It's the thought that counts and that's what I loved. But Josh's idea of making dinner when I ask him to do so involves canned food and prepackaged dinners. ;-)
