Well, folks...we are 8 days away from J's 18 month mark.
You fellow LDS parents know what that means...
NURSERY!
The children stay with their parents during church meetings until 18 months when they are old enough to join the fun in nursery class (18 mo. to 2 years)!! We have been counting down the months (weeks? days?) ever since J became extra BUSY, exhausting all of our efforts to keep him entertained during our 3 hours of church on Sundays.
Though he hasn't joined the nursery class yet, they invited him in today to be apart of their nativity photograph...we practiced his shepherd stance last night:
(Hint: he's fascinated by another animal drawing...)
After retrieving the babe in the manger from his hugging arms, I plopped him down in the front--he wasn't so excited about it, but this was as good as it was getting with 15+ toddlers wearing their Dad's t-shirts...
It was adorable and a fun little project. J & I came home afterwards to let him rest--his cold has been keeping him up at night & he was crankity.
Next week, I think we'll go ahead and drop him off for nursery, sans shepherd costume...:)

Ahh... crazy! Your picture of the full nativity turned out better than mine! Would you let me bring over my flash drive and steal it from you??? Jackson looked SO cute, we should have had more kids sitting down, oh well!
this is the cutest, sweetest, most precious nativity i have ever seen! what brave nursery leaders y'all have :)
That is such an awesome display of....awesome! I admit, I was laughing at J's reactions to the whole thing because I could totally picture Will doing the same exact thing!
Well that is just adorable. He is so cute. I'm lovin that little outfit! You will appreciate relief society more than you ever did now! hahaha
Oh MY! That has to be the best NURSERY ever! Seriously, I've never seen so much effort put forth by nursery leaders to make nursery fun, and memorable. If the church had a General Nursery Leader President, your Nursery leader would be it! LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics and honestly Shara, I have to say my favorite is baby J with the giraffe practicing the night before! So So SO CUTE! And yes, like you and Trevor, Spencer and I have been there too where we count down the days till our wee ones can go to nursery... Cohen's turn is coming up very soon too; BUT beware, as I have learned germies get passed around like crazy in nursery and with certainty baby J will catch more colds than you ever dreamed of. He'll be fine on Sunday when you send him into nursery but by Tuesday he'll have a cough, runny nose and if you're lucky enough the runs. Oh yes, it's the inevitable this time of year with little ones in nursery. Just take caution before sending him as my childrens pediatrician has warned, especially with the two flu strains going around like mad.
too cute!!!
