I saw the flights
Southwest had them
$69 one way: Boston
I had to move fast
A quick phone call to my sis-in-law Jen
And a text to Trevor
A few more clickity clicks
And we were set...
J & I were going to Boston In The Fall!
The weeks passed quickly & before we knew it...it was time to go!
Boston or Bust!
Flying with a toddler had me all stressed out. We did have a few air travel complications (delays, colds on the returning flights, and the standard challenges of flying alone with a toddler who doesn't have his own seat), but overall it was workable (or at least it is over now so I don't have to worry about it!).
Here are a few shots from our pre-departure:

Check out last week's Thankful Thursday on my Sharalea blog for more on the good that came from the not-so-easy.
Anyway, getting there was complicated but BEING there was not! It was awesome to enjoy a week with my brother Joseph, his wife Jen & their son Ian. We enjoyed quick trips, made lots of fun memories, enjoyed down time, played games, ate good food, and basked in the beauty that is--BOSTON IN THE FALL.
(Not the best photo. Don't know why I chose this one...but it is midnight & I'm a bit woozy on robitussin right now, so we're going with it. Better cousin shots in posts below.)

In the below photo, I imagined J was thinking something along the lines of:
Rain Rain
Go Away
We're in Boston
And want to Play!
Weather.Com 10 day forecast: FAIL
We were all ready for some nice 50's weather, which only lasted for the first two days or so! We listened to rain, watched big fluffy snowflakes, and dodged puddles. It was nice to stay in and enjoy the cozy home, cuddle with blankets, and drink hot apple cider while watching old Office episodes.
Enjoy the following posts documenting some of the many fun moments we shared while staying with family in Boston. I actually took about 400 photos, so it was challenging to par it down & create a flowing picture of all the fun we had--however, as I am sure you know--some of the BEST fun is never captured on film...because you're having so much fun!
It was fabulous.
An adventure to mark off my bucket list
Boston In The Fall
(Or should I leave it un-marked?...so I can go back again!)

Wowsers, Sharita! When you deliver on the blog, you DELIVER! I enjoyed all the Boston posts! ( I hope the coat you got covers your tail feathers. My neighbor's sister lived in Madison and she said it is crazy cold! ) Since I never knew anyone that lived in Wisconsin, it surprises me that when I talk to people they have Wisconsin connections. Now so do I! It was just the same with Maine! (Not so much with Montana!)
Looks like a fantastic trip! So - hows about a trip to Michigan? I can't offer you anything different than what Wisconsin currently gives you (ie: cold, snow, rain, etc) - except some extended family that would love to see you!!!
Those first three pictures were at Old North Bridge in Lexington and Concord, weren't they? I's got some serious Boston love....
