Good Morning, March! {Winter Storm Saturn}

I've made no secret of my desire for

ONE MORE BIG SNOW

before we slowly morph from winter to spring

We already have piles of snow around our house,

might as well have a blanket of the fresh stuff to enjoy, right?

Right.

Winter Storm Saturn was just 

what I was hoping for.

Checking out the depth.

Trevor woke up & used the snow blower to clear our driveway, the neighbor's, and the long sidewalk between us (5am). By the time I woke up, it was already covered again and by the afternoon there was plenty more to clear. It was the powdery fluff so now snow men or snow ball fights...but plenty to enjoy outside:

After crawling, climbing, building, shovelling, and sliding...these two were ready for some marshmallows & hot chocolate:

Miss N stayed inside today--her runny nose and disinterest were the convincing factors. 

These two, however--they had a blast. 

Super snow day!

After Trevor was done with work he had a dentist appointment. He saw the snow had accumulated on the driveway but figured he could get through it.

Haha! Jokes on us.

Two guys (from separate vehicles) stopped to help him get over the tall mounds of packed snow at the end of the driveway. When the snow plows come through the streets, the excess gets packed down in the dip at the end of your driveway. For an amateur, this is easy to dismiss as easy to drive over. Clearly, it is not--and our obvious lack of experience was made quite evident. Graciously, our two helpers didn't laugh (in our faces, at least) and Trevor was able to make it safely to his dentist appointment (where they raved about his perfect teeth).

  When Trevor got back, he did another round of snow clearing with the snowblower & cleared the excess (that I attempted & failed to do with the snow shovel). When he was finished,  the boys suited up again & the three of them headed out to pick up some pizza (delivered 2 to the missionaries and 1 for them*) for an outdoor picnic & sledding hilarity.

Tomorrow, I'm sure we'll be ready for some more! 

*For the record: Trevor did not eat one bite of pizza. 

For anyone who has ever known him--

you know what a big deal this is. 

The guy has changed his eating habits completely...

and it has payed off. I continue to be impressed!
