I'm from Tennessee.
Having all of Trevor's family in Kentucky
and my parents in Tennessee
makes traveling South that much sweeter!
We can see all the grandparents in one big trip!
We were grateful to have that time--it's always so nice to enjoy time in your childhood home and relax. Mom made delicious meals (as always) and we enjoyed a very low key weekend together. Perfect.
Trevor helped my Dad with some of his construction project:
The swing was enjoyed:
The Justy was taken out for a joy ride:
It was Conference weekend, so we spent time being spiritually uplifted together watching the sessions on Saturday and Sunday (note the prayer stance for the boys and J using the ipad for "conference bingo".
Grandmama & Miss N bonded over bunnies
Babies were held...
Slides were swept clean...
...we had a one-instrument concert by Granddaddy...
...and I took advantage of Mom's skylights to take some photos of Miss N in an outfit from my babyhood & a 100 year old bread bowl.
Before we knew it, we were saying our goodbyes
& loading up again. This time with more than we came with...
so we tied a pile of stuff on top.
Thankfully the van functioned properly & our kids didn't get too stir crazy, and we made it home safe & sound. We are so grateful for the comfortable beds, the delicious meals, the wonderful conversations, the awesome fun, & the priceless memories that we made on our spring trip down south.
Let's do it again next year, yes?
