Downstairs Dungeon to Family Fun

 BEFORE:

-ridiculously dark green walls

-no real decor

-lacking room design

-no seating for more than one person

-feels like a dungeon

AFTER:

-soothing neutral color on walls

-attractive decor style* (plus fun for kids: note art gallery area)

-brilliant room design: play room + family room areas

-room for more people: NEW COUCH!!

-feels like a place we want to hang out

Trevor worked so hard to prep this room for our re-do plans. He used 3 coats of white just to get a base to start with! We found an amazing deal on this new couch, spruced it up with some IKEA pillows, & dressed the walls with IKEA extras...

and vwa LA! A NEW ROOM.

WE love, love, love our new family/play room. 

We have already spent more time downstairs than the entire time we have lived here. The boys love playing down here, naps have been enjoyed on the couch, and the overall *feel* of the room just makes us want to go down there & chill!

So...come on over, we've got a spot for you on our new couch!

*Also note the red curtain separating the downstairs rooms from the hallway & stairs...
