July Part I

At the end of June & for the beginning of July,
we enjoyed an awesome visit from Nana!

Nana's Visit: July 2011

Nana came all the way up to Chicago from Kentucky...riding the Amtrak train! We were so glad the timing worked out, just before our big move. 


While she was in town, we went to some fun places...IKEA, Portillos, the outlet mall, and our favorite stop of all: the Chicago temple:

It was wonderful to go there together & feel the Spirit of the Lord's house. Trevor & I were so grateful to Nana for watching the boys while we did a session. N was pretty low key but J was full of energy! It was a really hot day so we didn't spend too much time outside...gorgeous, though, isn't it?

Our forever family: Chicago 2011

We were invited to a 4th of July bash hosted by some friends. The food was delicious, it was awesome to see so many of our friends from our ward and introduce Nana to them! The fireworks were fantastic...too bad J was too scared this year.

Nana's visit was perfect. We got to go around and enjoy several places while also enjoying some downtime at home. J & N loved every minute, they love their Nana-time! 


We began some of the house prep for the move, Nana helped to take some things off the walls with us...one of the things I dislike the most! As always, Nana was a great help with the boys and keeping the house in order during a busy weekend.


ALSO...we had waited to share our baby news with her until that weekend since it is so much more fun to tell in person! It was great to officially spread the news!!
