Downtown Naperville

I really wanted to take Mom & Dad to downtown Naperville to the river walk area.
It was so beautiful last time we went (last September), and we had the perfect sunshine for an exploring day together!
We strolled along a path until we came to a resting spot that perched over the water. We ate snacks, blew bubbles, fed ducks, and enjoyed the nice Illinois breezes...
The boys loved their Granddaddy time:

...and the river walk...

WELL.

You know all of that RAIN we've been getting this year...
The water was pretty high so you couldn't walk down on the specified RIVER WALK areas, but we enjoyed walking along the upper path anyway.
We walked around to scope out some of the downtown area and had a late lunch before heading back home for the evening. I was fascinated by the fun mix of shops and restaurants that make up the fun energy in downtown Naperville.
I wish we had gone there more during our last year here--
but so glad we got to enjoy a day of it with Grandmama & Grandaddy!

We had fun. It is one of my goals to read books in fun pretty places.
it is one of those things that psychologically makes you think you are on vacation! Thanks for taking us to Naperville! our first TAPAS, too!
