This past weekend was wonderful!

For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide--it was extra special. It was General Conference--which is a twice-a-year, two-day event where we get to hear talks given by a living prophet of God, other leaders of our Church, and enjoy music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
We felt so blessed to be able to enjoy all 4 sessions of Conference in our little apartment via a cable hooked from our computer to the TV! J enjoyed playing on the floor, coloring masterpieces, eating snacks, and napping while Trevor & I listened and felt pushed to be better than we are.
That is the essence of it--being BETTER and choosing the BEST things over the rest. And being consistent! Oh how I need to be more consistent! And the underlying truths of love and peace that come from a strong faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. He is the centerpiece. He is the reason we can have peace, feel that eternal love, and ultimately make improvements that change our lives and lift our families. I feel invigorated, encouraged, and loved.

In between sessions of Conference on Saturday, we went over to our neighborhood mountain to ride the ski lift & enjoy the display of valley & fall foliage.
Unfortunately it was a cold and rainy day.
Fortunately, we didn't care & had a blast!
Note the bottom left pic: J & I standing in front of the map of ski runs--there are 75 runs, according to their website.Impressed?
Wanna come visit us this winter??
Here's a few of the fabulous scenes we witnessed as we rode up & down the side of the mountain:
Here are 3 faces of the ride:
Here are 3 faces of the ride:1. J, totally into the ride, he loved it
2. Trev, totally annoyed that his wimpy wife didn't want to jump off the lift at the top
3. Me, pumped with excitement & fear the entire time. Something about my feet dangling that puts me on guard...
After the mountain ride, we stopped by a local Harvest Fest to pick out a pumpkin, slurp down some festive food samples, and measure J's height.
All in 2 hours, and back to the apt to watch the 2nd afternoon session.

It comes back to reason #327 that I love our new place: There's always something to do, and the town is small enough you can get it all done...even IN BETWEEN Conference sessions!

We totally want to come visit. Jason said something the other day about he and Trevor running off to Oshkosh while you and I did some girl things. Doesn't that sound so fun?!
Cute cute pics!!!
I love the pic of baby J standing in front of the 'watch me grow' sign.
you are amazing. i think you are way more consistent than you think. you are a wonderful example of someone who exemplifies a Christ like life.
