October, yo!

Oh. OCTOBER.

We started with jackets
and jack-o-lanterns
and pumpkin seeds.

We enjoyed General Conference,
we rode our bikes,
and we took long naps.

We watched the leaves fall,
we crunched around,
and we counted stop signs.

We earned tooth fairy money,
we went to the library,
we ate samples at Costco.

Oh how much I've missed journaling & blogging!
And my catch ups are only so-so
But truly--October--isn't it such a great month?

Most of this month has required my family to be so patient with me!

I was away for a week of (local) in-person class time (so.so. amazing and so.so. exhausting!) for my CLEC course (that, by the end of the year will make me a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor). And I've been working on heavy-duty assignments ever since. I am loving it. And it is wearing me out :)

More information on the CLEC program, if your curious, here.

In the middle of that, I was in charge of our ward RS once-a-year craft day. Wonderfully, there were many hands doing much of the work and a great person managing the team--but it was still a big commitment.

On a very lovely fall Sunday afternoon (I told you...our cold fall was holding off for a few weeks--so nice, we enjoyed a REAL FALL this year!) I took some photos of my favorites:

The very loud and sometimes reverent Miss N:
The ever-silly and always curious Mr. N:
The thinking builder and always-willing Mr. J:
And this guy. Mr. Incredible--who travels every other week to bring safety to the world of restaurants...coming home to fold laundry, clean kitchens, wrestle with children, and spoil his wifey. (also....who is also the newest member of our ward bishopric--hold onto your hats!)

October was very busy and very awesome. It has seriously been the most beautiful Minnesota fall.
