So we were gone most of June...

...on an amazing trip down South to visit our families.

We have gone in the spring the last two years but came later this year so we could meet our newest NIECE, Miss Lyla (and boy was she worth the wait! What a bundle of delight!)

Isn't she precious?

As usual, we packed with particular attention to detail, had our "activity box" and assembled our food box. Before we knew it, our leave day had arrive and we were off!

We drove long hours and then spent a delightful week in Tennessee with my family--full of fun, waterfall hikes, vintage toys, outside swinging, friend meetups, fighter jet sightings, bike rides, raiding Uncle Spencer's car collection, reading books, and delicious eats at Grandmama's table.

We left our TN grandparents to head up to Kentucky we spent an amazing week with our Harper family--aunts, uncles, cousins, grands, & Great Granny Rose! We ran in the countryside, made kitten friends, played with cousins, went fishing, practiced our bowling skills, visited the cemetery, rode bikes, had "Christmas in June", celebrated J's 6th (!!) birthday, enjoyed the downtime, and relished quality southern cooking at Granny Rose's house.

Cousins!

Then Trevor had to go to work in Chicago, so I figured--why go back to MN when I can go spend some more time with my Mom? SO we dropped Trevor off at the Nashville airport and spent another week in Tennessee (playing, splashing, and cleaning out the attic!)

The thought of blogging it all makes me want to fall over (and really, didn't you see so many updates along the way on FB & instagram?)--so, for now, you can see highlights of our trip:
