When we got home from our trip, we were thrilled to see all of our GREEN GRASS
that beckoned us to play
The boys received balls & mitts from their Nana & Papa while we were in Kentucky--time to get them out and throw some ball! Miss N borrowed N's mitt & had fun running around.
Future softball star?
Seriously--this grass. Trevor has worked SO HARD to get it this way! When we moved in, only half of the backyard had grass (and the owner said it was much better than when she first bought it the year before). Our first summer, we planted with limited results. This summer, Trevor planted, fertilized, watered, and planted more...and...SUCCESS! Look at that grass!
While we were playing, Miss N wanted to go inside. She also thought it would be fun to play with the back door lock. The one that doesn't even have a key. The one that is difficult for a toddler to UNlock.
And the front door was locked.
Miss N didn't seem even a tad alarmed, but she did agree to follow my insisting that she attempt to unlock the door. No luck.
Never fear, Dad to the rescue!
He got his ladder, found an unlocked window (*phew*!)...and then
...hoisted J to the window.J was tickled to be the helper in this predicament & he quickly entered and came through the house to the locked door.
His mission was successful!
Door unlocked, "come on in, everyone!"
Cheers all around! J saved the day!
{This adventure reminded us of when our dear friends were recently locked in their childrens' upstairs (HOT!) room & no way to escape! We drove a few blocks over to help out--including a ladder and hoisting up tools to take off the stubborn bedroom door. It also reminded us that we should have a front door key available to us SOMEwhere...}
