Ah February!
A month of dark days and cold nights,
chocolate treats & Valentines!
In our family it is also a month of
BIRTHDAY CAKE.
Between both of our families
we celebrate SEVEN birthdays!
I love birthday fun
mixed with conversation hearts.
So, I re-assembled the mantle
with lovely love-themed books
and added a Valentine garland to the
still-standing white lighted tree.

The tree will likely come down sometime this month anyway (Trevor will do a happy dance), I figured might as well make a festive go of it until then! Welcome, February! |

Ya know, Dustin's g'mother kept her tree up year round. After Valentine's Day, she deck it out for St. Patrick's, then Easter. If there wasn't a holiday, then it'd be in patriotic decor. I love your mantle with the books; such a fun idea.
