Birthdays Come Around Once A Year...

I was surprised when my sweet friends

came by with flowers, cupcakes, & a card.

I just thought they were being
 their regular, kind, thoughtful selves...
(which, of course they were)

 Until they reminded me that it was my birthday week!!What a fun surprise--the gifts, and the reminder. I guess when you get past 30, you don't do a birthday countdown anymore? Or at least, I didn't.

For my birthday, I slept in...

Then Trevor brought me breakfast in bed

 Honestly, I never imagined myself past 30

so it's a little strange to think about being 32.

 But here I stand, all 31 years behind me and on the threshold of a new year!

Adventures await, no doubt...

and I'm feeling pretty good about it.

My birthday was on a Friday this year (yippee!)

so we went out on a date that night--

With baby girl in tow, we enjoyed every bite of our Mongolian meal (next time I want to try one of the 'recipes' instead of making up my own, although it was very liberating!)...and then headed to Target for some shopping (groceries--boring, but necessary).

My birthday was fantastic.

Gifts, facebook notes, and calls from friends & family + all day fun with my kids + date night with my hubbs. Doesn't get better than this, folks!
