Baby Love

My two babies
are 16 months apart

Close enough to be "my babies",
but far enough for N to seem SO BIG compared to Miss N

N likes to tap Miss N's head and grab her ears...

N loves to give his little sister kisses.

He will beg me (with grunts & motions) to bring her down close to his face so he can plant one on her...
several times a day.

I foresee many years of fun for these two...
Something about baby toes... 01.31.2012

Miss N is growing so fast! She is already 7 weeks old--her "one month" doctor appointment has been postponed so many times for various reasons...but will finally happen this week!

Miss N--parts of perfection: 7 weeks old 01.31.2012
After a week of improvement with her sleeping and gas pains, she took a step back on Sunday night (we were up with her--rocking/soothing/bouncing until after 3am). I feel like it's always a guessing game--but we are thinking that her tummy troubles can be attributed to MORE than just the over supply of milk (which we now have under control; I am still block feeding to get back to a more 'normal' nursing schedule of switching sides instead of staying on one side for hours at a time). I took a week off of drinking milk and then forgot & drank a big mug of steamed milk on Saturday night.

Annnnd 24 hours later--bam!--she (we!)
had a *really* rough night.

So...I'm now going to be cut out dairy. Or most of it...and definitely not drinking any cow's milk any time soon!

Totally worth it for a calm baby & a good nights' sleep :

I love my girl!

P.S. Last night was one of her best sleeping nights in several weeks. She actually fell into a deep sleep BEFORE 1am!! I feel so grateful, especially because I'm now working through a cold &  need as much rest as possible. *sniffle*

SEE you are the the rock star mom! 16 months apart! they will be great friends and Na will protect No when they get older. :)

Block nursing is hard- atleast I thought. I did it long enough to get rid of his green poop and it worked. I kept forgetting though to how many times I was on one side.

I pray that you can figure out what is is No needs so she can be a happier baby.

I'm curious to know how big she is. As I hold my big 10 pound baby I think of YOU pushing a 10 pounder out! Phew mama! :) You are amazing.

Oh, and I love the toes picture!

Good luck Shara! Those long nights can be so hard - hang in there. :) Your baby girl is just beautiful!

Also, we have cut out *most* dairy at our house. It can definitely be done and you will get used to it. Promise. It is a big adjustment, but so worth it!! Feel free to ask if you ever have questions. :)
