Still Strawberry...
We are hoping this lovely shade of red will be her permanent color--but who knows?
This is the same color mine was when I was a baby girl...

Curled Up Cutie

Can you believe we've had this little one in our family for ONE FULL MONTH now?

ONE MONTH baby girl N

A month ago, we met our newest angel baby.

We held her tight and gave thanks for such a beautiful,
safe, and fulfilling birth experience. We called her
princess and stared in awe at each tiny feature
(even at 10 lbs 4 oz, she seemed so tiny!)

We have tried to savor every day,
holding her close and breathing in the leftover
whiffs of heaven--
feeling the love & joy that a newborn can bring
to a home.

Noelle in her mother's blessing dress. 01.13.2012

We brought her home to her brothers
and our lives have forever changed.

Miss N is growing fast, right before her eyes.
I don't have stats but will have them after her dr. visit in a week.

Noelle seems to have a very tender spirit, we are enjoying the new dynamic in our home. She likes to be swaddled, held, rocked, and kissed. She is mesmerized by the Christmas lights that we still have hanging up and she likes to snuggle right up under your chin.

This week to commemorate her 1 month--in the wee hours of the morning, she gave her Mama a smile. She typically falls asleep on my chest and then either stays in bed with me (surrounded by the boppy pillow) or is transferred to the Moses basket.

She still has a lot of burps, spit ups, & gas but her nights have been more pleasant (two nights in a row of pretty great sleep!) so we're hoping that means she is feeling better and a routine is forming. She still refuses the pacifier, but I'm not giving up!

Big brother J asks to hold her every day and likes to plant tight-lipped kisses on her forehead on a regular basis. Big brother N looks for her every time he comes in the room, offers his own pacifier when she cries, and loves to give quick kisses on her head. Daddy is still getting used to having a little girl in the house--but is completely enamored by his princess. Mama is adjusting to having three darlings under her wings, and loving the opportunities to photograph a baby whenever the mood strikes.

I miss her skin. I am glad they have made microfiber. But her skin beats everything!
