Trevor with Baby Girl N 12/2011 |
Trevor & Shara have had a busy year! Around the middle of the year Trevor followed his boss' suggestion to apply for a new position within the company (Liberty Mutual Insurance). The job would require us to relocate from our Chicago suburb home and would involve lots of travel. After weighing the pros/cons and much prayer, we decided the move was the right thing to do. Trevor is a safety consultant working with one mega-client for his company. His geographical area is HUGE, so he is on the road over half of the time. He has worked very hard to get a majority of visits finished before December so he could be home to help with our newest addition. In January, he will start traveling again--this time, though, he will be in the home office *most* every other week. (insert happy wife smiles)
Besides staying busy with his work responsibilities, Trevor also teaches a class at Church, deep cleans the house on the weekends, and is the #1 favorite in our home. He regularly takes the boys on various adventures to let Mom get some much needed down time. He has perfected his chocolate chip cookie recipe, can play a mean game of Chutes & Ladders, and works hard to make sure his family is happy.
Shara was sad to leave her friends in Illinois, but loves a new adventure. This was our 3rd move in 3 years and our 2nd move while she was pregnant. Shara has enjoyed getting to know the Twin Cities area...going to downtown markets, museums, libraries, and the zoo with the boys. In addition to full-time Mama responsibilities, she has enjoyed organizing activities and meetings with the ladies at Church. She stays busy (crazy?) during the week while Trevor is away for work--by Thursday night, everyone is ready for Daddy to be home!
Shara has been blessed with easy-going pregnancies and this one was no exception. Besides crazy-mad-itching for the last few weeks, this one was wonderful. After the move, we found an amazing birth team (awesome OB + 2 fantastic doulas) and feel so happy to have been able to welcome our baby girl via water birth (VBA2C!)--an amazing experience.
