Maternity Shoot (yes, again): Almost 40 weeks!

Today we enjoyed another Sunday afternoon
of photo snappity snapping...

This baby belly won't last forever, you know?

(Or at least, that's what I'm telling myself. Every.Day.)

Here we are.
39 weeks + 5 days
(2 days away from 40 weeks, aka "Due Date")

What I wore to church today. 12.11.11

Last time we didn't get any bare belly shots.

Sorry if my stretch marks offend.
I got no shame.

The bottom right pic (above) was supposed to be super cute
(an idea I saw on pinterest)
...but I had low-quality bubble gum & could never get a bubble bigger than this one. It would have been super cute, instead it just looks like--?--I don't know.
The idea is- "ready to pop"

Which I am. She is. We are.

I'm feeling *mostly* good, really. Some heartburn here & there, some extra fatigue & muscle aches. Baby is low, so I've got that extra *pressure* as well going on. I've had contractions on & off for a week now, but nothing exciting or worth writing down.

My biggest complaint?

 ITCHING.

I had some pretty miserable itching at the end of my last pregnancy too--not just belly-stretching itching. We are talking all.over.itching. It's worst at night, so a good night's sleep is hard to come by these days. I hop from bed to couch to recliner to other couch, and back to the bed again. I've used lotions, creams, oils, soaks, benedryl, & hydrocortizone. There is some relief,  but nothing takes it completely away. I suppose this kind of challenge will make me feel even MORE ready for labor when it starts.

Let's get this party started!

At this point, we are finally feeling ready.

Clothes are cleaned, folded, organized, and stashed.
Bags are packed & ready to go.
Labor snacks are purchased and loaded.
Cars are full of gas. Carseat is dressed in pink.
House is clean & organized.
Doulas are on call.
Positive affirmation cards are laminated (no, really).
Hospital address is programmed into both GPS units.

We're on the final countdown...

When do YOU think we'll meet our baby girl?

WOW! You did some major blog updating.....I loved reading all of them. You look great (sorry about the itching) and the bubble gum pic is adorable.
I love the new family room and I like your snow outside. We don't have any to speak of...yet.
That is awesome that you are close to MOA. I would like to see that one day...but I am probably the only one in my house that thinks a road trip to a mall is a worthwhile trip - ha!
Can't wait to hear about the arrival of A. I am guessing Thursday (15th).
Sending Michigan hugs and wishes your way for a fun and "eventful" week!

I'm itching so badly too!!! I love that picture- I feel like I'm constantly scratching.

You are a BEAUTIFUL pregnant lady! And show those stretch marks off- you earned them in a most beautiful way. :)

I keep wanting to ask you how you are doing on FB, but I don't want to but you because I am right behind you. :)

I'm excited to hear when baby girl comes and I hope it all goes the way you want it to- that you get your v2bac (is that how you say it?).

Thinking of you lots! You do look beautiful in pink! Tell me again why some pregnant women itch at the end? How miserable. I hope you have a great labor and are excited to begin the work! Yippi for baby girl!

Again...love, love, love! So beautiful! And yes, the itching is awful. I actually had it from the beginning. Extra itchiness all over. Miles got really tired of scratching my back every night! And bubble gum pic is cute. Maybe the bubble's not "ready to pop" but still very cute! And I too was going to guess the 15th. But maybe to be different I'll say the 16th. :)
