If you ask J,
"How does a story begin?"
He'll tell you without hesitation....ONCE UPON A TIME.
So, let's do it!
...
Once upon a time
there was a very cute Redheaded bear
and a very supportive (& patient) Daddy bear
who sat in front of a backdrop for several minutes
of snappity snapping
so the Mama bear could check on lighting, white balance, and whether or not a backdrop stand could really work in their living room (they ended up not using it, but now know that it fits and could work for specific circumstances)
Baby bear wanted in on some posing action, so he pulled out the toys and stepped right into the toy shelf. He probably had no idea how darling he looked, but he was glad for the attention
& a riveting game of peek-a-boo.
A few weeks later, the two little bears were buckled
in their car seats for a weekend Wisconsin trip--
just Mama bear & the little cubs.
They are fantastic travel bears!
The three bears sang songs, told stories, ate snacks, and looked in awe at the clumps of snow on the ground (MN hasn't seen any yet!).
When all the bears in the Bear family were back together again
(just weekends, for the past several weeks),
they enjoyed some fun time with the Grandbears--on skype!
This is a highlight & favorite, especially for the bear cubs.
Monday morning comes too fast and Daddy bear is off again. Mama bear is tired but grateful for her days with her bear cubs...
(and for Daddy bear's hard work)
she knows they are precious days & flying fast!
The new week begins with breakfast & cuddles,
and quickly moves onto...
cave excavation:
exploring the water sources:
foraging for snacks:
and practicing cub coloring skills:
The Bear family stayed busy & happy with all of their adventures--
far & wide.
Daddy Bear worked hard in the forest &
Mama bear worked hard in the cave...
the bear cubs grew healthy & helpful,
and the newest cub only 4 weeks away!
...and so, they lived happily ever after.
The End.
(for now)

So cute!!
Darling! Love it!
Great story! Can we read that one again? (how many times have you heard that!?)
gotta love when they get into the tampons. Jayden came out of the bathroom once (I think he was nearly 2) with a bunch of pantiliners stuck all over his bare legs. I think he'd tried to pull one off but realized that it was going to hurt.
Oh, kids...;-)
one more time!
Adorable!
Cute story. I love Nathan in the tampons. At least he didn't put them in his mouth like Owen. ;) And you're brave to let him play in the toilet while you take pictures. I'm always immediately telling Owen to get out, that toilets aren't for playing in and washing his hands.
Jolie! I was thinking...what is SHE talking about~ then I went back and SAW! Once Joseph was maybe 2.5 or 3 and came our of the bathroom with every finger "with an extension". He thought it was so great. argh.
I love this story Shara! You are just so creative. And your boys are so adorable. I love how much they look like brothers, yet they look so different. Can't wait to see what baby girl will look like!!
