On Sunday
I requested some time from Trevor to do a maternity shoot for me.
(as if I hadn't asked him for tons of time & energy during Thanksgiving week...he painted a room, purchased a couch, put up wall hangings, re-organized/de-cluttered/re-formatted our garage, and followed any other command I spouted for him...he.is.amazing.)
My handsome photog--giving up his Sunday afternoon nap for his prego wife |
He was leaving on Monday morning for his last far-away consult visit for the rest of the year. The reality is, we could have this baby before the next relaxing Sunday afternoon together...so we'd better document this belly if we are going to do it at all.
I was 37 weeks + 5 days.

Little booties--3 peas in a pod--just like we'll have! Background is blurred but it is the baby quilt that my Grandmama made for me when I was a baby. |
Pregnancy update: Things are going well. 38 weeks and moving along, with only one morning of light contractions. We took a tour of the hospital last week and I have two doulas ready to jump into action at my beckoning call. We are hoping for a beautiful, spiritual birth experience--however it turns out (working towards a VBAC).
This is one of my favorites:
We pulled out some Christmas lights to add an extra-festive feel...very fun to experiment & see how that worked out.
Baby love...
Our holiday angel baby...
Even with very grey skies, we were able to use the light available to get some fun shots. I hope we do have a chance to do another 'shoot' before I lose this belly. It's just such a unique & beautiful experience & I love being pregnant. I am going to miss it!
Prego Mama: Almost 38 weeks with baby #3. |
Trevor did a fantastic job, dontchya think??
My guy is really great with a camera. Our original plan with doing the photography-hobby was to do it together, it just hasn't worked out with his schedule. When he is available he does help me with shoots but mostly I'm on my own. I look forward to a time when we can do more photography together. Most of these photos were not touched with any kind of editing--a couple of them were touched up with shadow/light adjustments.

Absolutely beautiful! I loved being pregnant but never thought about having my pics done. And I don't intend to get pregnant again just to have cute pictures - ha!
All the best to you in these exciting upcoming weeks.
He did a great job! really nice! so cute/pretty! and exciting.
I'm so impressed, he did such a great job!
Good luck with the VBAC - I hope it works out for you! Your pictures are amazing. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing, I feel sad for the women who don't let anyone take pictures of them while preggo, as if they are embarrassed. I love it!
Trevor did Amazing! Love them! I am thinking about you lots.
I just love your little prego belly!!! It's soooo cute!!!!
I saw these on your FB page, but really, these are SO good! He did great, and you are a fantastic model!! You look beautiful. Great ideas, great styling, love the white lights, blocks, etc... I could go on and on!
Trevor IS a natural photographer! He's got a great eye for what to accentuate in a shot. And you two are very VERY clever with your outfits/props/lighting, etc.
Me? Why I just sit on a couch (slouching, of course) and say cheese. ;-)
Beautiful photos Shara! Just beautiful!! And thinking back to when Jaclyn was born (Dec. 6 '06) I really loved having her near Christmas. It made that Christmas seem all the more magical and special having a brand new baby in the house. I'm sure your family will think the same!
Love them! ESPECIALLY the one you used for your fb profile pic. Great job Trevor!
So any news yet? Still pregnant? Or baby in your arms yet?!
So beautiful Shara! Thinking about you and wishing you a beautiful healthy baby!
