Oh! The Places We Go

We recently invested in a membership to the

The museum is located downtown St. Paul,
an easy drive from our place and an awesome
way to spend a morning or afternoon (or all day!)

At the Children's Museum + J looking longingly at a school bus

The galleries/exhibits are fantastic--they have rooms that cater to N-size interests, and many exhibits that are just perfect for J! Everything is (of course!) so kid-friendly, fun, and educational. We had a blast on our first Children's Museum adventure a couple of weeks ago.

J was most excited about painting his face before we left.

They had a table set up with fabulously toddler friendly paints--in the form of a crayon! He had a blast adding different colors to his cheeks. N wanted in on the action, too. Maybe next time...

One of the great things about St. Paul (and Minneapolis) is the skyways.
These glass "hallways" are located throughout the downtown areas to assist visitors in getting from parking to your intended destination...without having to be outside in the elements!

BRILLIANT for cities that have snow for 6 months out of the year...

Note the Fitzgerald Theatre, downtown St. Paul--for all you Prairie Home Companion fans...

Another place we have been enjoying this fall
 is our MINNESOTA ZOO!

The zoo is a quick drive from our place, and offers both INDOOR and OUTDOOR exhibits. We have a membership there, too.  One of the spots we had NOT enjoyed on our previous visits was the petting zoo/farm area.

We went there with our friends a couple of weeks ago. J was VERY brave to feed the goats all by himself. N thought he should be given some snacks as well...staring longingly...

N fell asleep in the stroller that afternoon, but J was ready to explore all of the areas of the zoo. He practiced his turtle smile & his monkey climbing skills:

We have parks & other local attractions that we are trying to take advantage of BEFORE winter hits (and we find ourselves hibernating with a newborn baby...!). It is also nice to schedule outings to help the days go faster when Trevor is out of town with work, the weeks are flying by!

We three are having fun on our adventures together this fall!
