Growing P

With our first pregnancy, we lovingly called the little one 'Poppy'.

Poppy's existence in our lives didn't last very long, but it was a fun to be so excited about our first pregnancy. Having a miscarriage was a challenge that pulled us together and pushed us further down the path of experience, wisdom, and compassion. Now, we can confidently say that we are grateful for the difficulty & the things we learned from it.

We found out about our second pregnancy soon after Trevor returned from his summer internship in Texas. We were so excited and giddily called this one 'Pumpkin'
since we found out in October.

Amazingly enough, this little one was born with a head full of bright red (orange!) hair...which we thought was quite appropriate since we had been calling him Pumpkin all along. Our first baby boy.

After our Pumpkin baby turned one, we started making plans and before long we were experiencing our third pregnancy and decided we needed to stick with the P theme...
we called him our little 'Peanut'.

This little guy was born a week late with his little fist tucked beside his face--curled up like a little peanut, we thought. He was born with fluffy light brown hair and big curious eyes.
Our second baby boy.

When we found out that we were embarking on our fourth pregnancy
(third baby, just to clarify)
we were surprised, to say the least. For awhile I thought we should call it 'Pickle',
we kind of felt like we were in one, having all these little darlings so close in age.

However, that never stuck.
We have called this little darling "sweet baby", "baby girl",  and the name we are thinking of giving her.
To go along with our P's, though...we should probably be calling her
the 'Princess', which surely she will be...especially with two older brothers!

We are getting excited to meet her,
only about 6 more weeks...our first baby girl.

P is for Princess
