Saturday Fun With Corn (& More)

On Saturday, we spent part of the day
(we were wayyyy over-scheduled, which is so hard to avoid!)
at a local corn maze.

Not just any corn maze.

Which we probably wouldn't have gone to without
headsup from my friend K and the groupon discount.

Family Fun Day: Corn Maze 09.2011
This place has everything...
a pumpkin patch, a jumping pillow (J's favorite!), an exotic animal petting zoo (zebras! kangaroos! ostriches! llamas!), play yards, pig races, camel rides, corn dogs, a huge scarecrow, a mini-maze for the kids, a huge maze for everyone else, and a huge play pit full of CORN:

Fun In The CORN!
I am still finding kernels in my house & in the laundry...

Check out these farm animals:

One of the most fun for J was the opportunity to ride a pony!
He was so brave, he didn't even want me to hold his hand or hold onto him. He sat right on the saddle & held on tight--
grinning the entire time!
N enjoyed riding in the ergo carried on Daddy's chest. He got out a few times to play in the corn, in a little playhouse, and to swing.

We had a great time, wish we would have scheduled our day better so we could have stayed longer.
We didn't even go through the maze!

But we did watch one of the pig races:

Oh yes. It says "Pigtucky Derby"

It was a fun day, we'll have to watch for more groupon discounts to places like this!

After our maze fun we spent an hour driving (lost) on our way to help clean the church building (don't ask), finally got there to clean and then rushed home to change clothes/clean up before joining some friends for dinner.
We capped off our Saturday with the
(cringe)
BYU-UT game.
Congrats to all of our UTE friends.

That looks like a lot of fun! J was totally brave to ride the pony by himself. What a big boy! And the corn pit looks awesome. I'd be worries about little mouths eating it. Bet you had to keep a close eye on N!

Wow - that's a lot of updates! Your boys are amazing. You look fabulous and I can't wait to visit the cider mill now that the wonderful fall season is upon us.
And I love the Flat Stanley project - how fun!
