August, what?

Just a quick note...

I haven't abandoned blogging, we've just been BUSY
and by the way. what happened to July?
~

Rub-a-dub-dub...
2 in a pool
&
1 in a tub

Granddaddy & J have been having a *BLAST* in the pool, while N prefers his warm bath water in the sunshine...

My Dad has been in town. A last minute visit (Dad & Uncle H met up to go to the EAA air show in Osh Kosh, WI & he arranged to see us for a couple of days) has turned into a nice long summery stay...(11 days!)...we feel so lucky!

N & J taking advantage of one of the awesome construction jobs that Granddaddy has completed over the last week & half...this NEW picnic table!
Having my Dad in town has been
incredible.

I'm talking...room-painting, fridge stocking, early morning rising, project completing, invention installing, experiment producing incredible.

I was trying to figure out why I felt so needy (and had such a long list of Honey-Do's) & then I remembered...it's because my Super Man is flying all over the country--unable to be home every evening to working on new move-in projects for me!

Trevor's map of consulting assignments for the year. Frequent flyer miles, here we come!

So that's just a note from me.
I've got a backlog of July & August blog posts...I'll get to it...later.

In the meantime, special thanks to my super-amazing-Dad for everything (including--but not limited to-- rocking my crying baby at 2am, cleaning up potty accidents by my 3 year old, making homemade ice creams, fixing this & that, watching shows like Blues Clues & Baby Einstein to appease the huddled masses, cleaning/organizing/building this thing & that thing, babysitting so we could do a temple session during Trevor's too-short weekend home, and going through my To Do lists with fresh ideas and inventive solutions) under the sun. I feel blessed to be your daughter & forever indebted for your selfless gift of time, energy, & love.

And Mom, a billion, mega-marillion* thanks for sharing your Super Man with me (and allowing all of YOUR honey-do's to be put on hold). He's flying home tomorrow, cape & all.

*We may or may not have had a Dr. Seuss DVD playing on repeat this afternoon while finishing up some projects. "Billion, mega-marillion" would be a direct quote.

Oh boy. Was just thinking of you. What happened to the ENTIRE SUMMER?!?! Fastest one on record and we didn't even move! Love the pool shot with Baby N in the tiny one. :)

Good to hear an update. Love the pictures, especially seeing little N sitting at that table. Can't believe he's almost a year old!

aaahh, i love this post! You're never too grown up to think that your daddy is a super hero!! By the sounds of it, I believe he truly IS a super hero! I love it, "cape & all".

And hey, is that a pin in Ellensburg, WA??? Or maybe it was Yakima. Cool!

What an awesome amazing Dad you have. You ARE so lucky! I love that first picture of he and J in the pool and N in the tub. So dang cute! And I really can't complain about Miles's work trips. You definitely have it 100 times worse. You are wonder woman to put up with it!
