Yesterday.
The sun was shining,
the breezes were perfect,
and the littlest one was sleeping.
So J & I put on our flip flops & went outside,
snacks & sidewalk chalk in hand.
(For anyone wondering: what? she just left the baby asleep inside all alone? Nay--the Daddy was a-workin' upstairs in the office/bedroom which is adjacent to the baby's room/closet)
The warmer days are upon us...it's time to enjoy the fresh air & vitamin D!
J came up with a new game--a sort of toss with the chalk--using the chalk holder & then slinging the chalk out of the holder with his swift arm movements.
He called it "basketball", then "football", then "soccer".
He also had a blast running "around in circles" and "ready, set, go" from our neighbors sidewalk to ours--and back again.
I guess we've been cooped up in our house for too many months!
He was all over the place!
He did a few somersaults
(but didn't really like the way the grass felt on his skin)
A few rolls...and a few rocks...
While we were outside,
the neighborhood favorite drove by a couple of times...
He was so excited to hear the tunes & see THE MUSIC TRUCK (hey, we'll use it as long as we can!). The little songs had sort of a pipe organ sound to them, so he referred to them as "General Conference" a few times--the distinct tones & sounds reminding him of the pipe organ sounds that we heard as we watched Conference last month.
J is just too much fun. His energy & creativity is contagious. Right now, as I'm typing this--he is pretending that the bouncy seat is a garbage truck. He is loading it up with blankets & toys... then "dumping it in" just like the garbage truck does (today is Tuesday: garbage day!)

Um, I totally go outside when my baby is asleep. I go and check every so often to make sure all is well.
I love the Mother's Day card and toes too.
A neighbor kid ruined "the music truck" for me last year and the secret is out. No fun since it only comes around on SUNDAYS. And we keep wondering how in the world it's worth their time and investment to sell ice cream for a few hours. I digress... Cute pics of J! Fun to have time to yourselves.
