It was every bit as exciting as we hoped it would be...
gusting winds, swirling snow flakes, thunder, lightening, and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
We're so grateful to still have our power on, to have cozy blankets, some fantastic family down time (work called. everyone is off!*), & the nice people who shoveled & cleared our driveway (a part of the HOA deal).
The winds are fierce, but we might end up playing in some snow some time today...
before the crazy arctic temps hit us (tonight & tomorrow we have a 'wind chill watch' for 20 to 40 below zero...)
Then again, we might just stay inside
drinking hot cocoa
&
playing trains.
*Although, when your work desk is at home, it doesn't really ever allow you to feel like you can be off. So, it's a catch up day for Trevor. Grumble.

Burr!! Makes me cold just looking at the pictures. i love the documentation!
There is thunder and lightening in a blizzard? I never knew that!
I know, right?
I never knew about that either...Trevor had heard that it might happen on the radio, I was suprised to hear the grumbles & see the flashes of light--wild!
Well, we accumulated about 6-8 inches of snow but the winds were so fierce we have several foot + high drifts. It was enough to cancel schools (we knew before going to bed last night, so it was nice to not have to set the alarms). I know what you mean about the home office....that's what I am doing today....but it's still better than trying to trek it in!
