Besides the lack of distance vision, can you see the main difference between the two stretches of road?

The key is in the photo--and THAT is what keeps the snow from swirling up & creating the white out conditions. Since we are both from areas of the country with many of THOSE, we had never experienced this kind of weather condition before.

It was fascinating and scary at the same time. Luckily, we didn't have to drive far and were soon home in our cozy pajamas.
