Trevor called me into his "office" (otherwise known as the master bedroom) one day when he was home working.
He looked at me with bright eyes and said "You'll never guess where I've got to go in November..."
--Trevor gets work assignments all over his zone area, he has to arrange and schedule them in a certain time frame. Sometimes he gets assignments that are close to where we live, often he has to travel farther. He is on the road a lot, and I've often hoped he would get some assignments in a place that would be fun for the boys & I to tag along--
I made about 4 wrong guesses before he told me: "WAUSAU, Wisconsin!"
For those of you who have been following our moves, this was the last place we called home. He actually had several visits in several cities, but this was one of the areas he had to stop--I told him immediately that the boys & I would be coming along and I started to make arrangements...
...and had been looking forward to the trip ever since!
My friend graciously invited us into her home and we had a blast...
We lounged around, went to yoga class, took the kids out to dinner, met some friends at the mall, took naps, slept in (well, I did), made homemade marshmallows (see next blog post),
& co-hosted our 2nd annual Ugly Sweater Party :

True to form, I got a nice little (big!) cold virus that lasted the week. I went through four kleenex boxes, stayed up 3 nights coughing, waited 2 hours at the walk-in, and took 1 strep test (negative results). Hope I didn't leave any nasty germs with anyone!
Also, Baby N hit his 3 month mark while we were there:
(One thing you learn from an ugly sweater party--ugliness is in the eye of the beholder. Several ladies went home with sweaters to add to their wardrobes!)
Seriously, it was WONDERFUL. The perfect getaway trip.
Thanks, Leesa for an amazing week in your home--hope we didn't overstay our welcome, we had a blast playing hard and sleeping in!
Trevor was able to enjoy some fun visiting as well--he hung out with some of his old buddies during the U.S. party and we enjoyed seeing dear friends at Church on Sunday before we headed back home.
Thanks to everyone who took some time to say hi, it was awesome to visit--
we miss our Wisconsin Home!

The Miller Lite pitcher! Hahaha, classy. ;)
oh my goodness. that is HILARIOUS. For those of you reading this who WERENT THERE--the waiter was awful, so I finally asked him to just bring a pitcher of water instead of having him slowly re-fill our glasses...he looked at me like I was crazy and even laughed! I said "no, I'm serious!" and he returned with the Miller Lite pitcher filled with water (no ice).
lol
fun times
Fun, fun, fun!
IO honestly have no idea how you keep up with blogging on your different blogs...and with kids to boot. Amazing!
Making marshmallows is so fun, huh? I made some a couple years ago and was thinking of making some peppermint ones this winter - so the timing here was perfect! Thanks!
The Miller Lite thing is too funny.
Little J can play Candyland? Wow. Thacks attention span is STILL not long enough to play that game, he just likes to crash the players into each other the whole time. Sigh. One day....
And I had to come over to say I find it so sweet that you liked the thankful turkey feathers thing - you, of all people, are so gracious and thankful all the time! I love it! You really didn't even need a reason to sit down and express thanks, but I'm glad you did! Thanks for joining in this fun little activity!
