In the LDS faith babies are given a special blessing--usually by their father--announcing their name and giving them a blessing specifically for that child. Trevor had the privilege to give both of our boys their baby blessings.
One special part about the blessing is giving the name. We named our baby Nathanael Spencer. Nathanael means "God has given", and we spelled it like the disciple Nathanael mentioned in the Bible. We chose the name Spencer as his middle name after my youngest brother, Spencer--who is a modern day disciple of Christ--an awesome example of faith, love, and testimony.

Our sweet peanut on his blessing day--2 1/2 months old.
He did, however, spit up on almost everyone who held him that day.
We love you, darling Nathan!

Wow! Talk about a blog blast! So many great posts! Your pics look fantastic, and it's always great to hear updates on you guys! Looks like a wonderful baby blessing, just like that sweet little thing deserved!
You all had a great trip, didn't you? Wish we could have been there. Looks like the weather cooperated, and generally the offspring cooperated. I have never seen a baby mark their territory during the baby blessing. Now THAT makes for a memorable Sunday!
Looks like a wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing all of the great pics. The boys are adorable and I love their halloween costumes - too cute!
