Last week Trevor came home with a nice round pumpkin, declaring THIS YEAR to be the year in which we actually carve the pumpkin.We have bought pumpkins every October, and not a one has actually been carved. I don't know why, so don't ask. Just not high enough on the priority list, I suppose.
Well this year--the pumpkin made the cut & last night we did it!
After one slimy touch, J was ready to get back to his puzzles:
I drew the design and took photos while Trevor did the carving, scooping, and cleaning...he did a great job, don'tchya think?

Pumpkin carving is scheduled for Friday night. The whole pumpkin is currently sitting out front amongst the rest of our decorations. However, if the neigborhood squirrels have any say in it, I may have to purchase a new pumpkin to carve. They decided to snack on our pumpkin yesterday!
Nope, haven't carved them yet...not really looking forward to it either but my kids are!

That's the cutest jack o'lantern!We carved ours for FHE on Sunday night. This was the first year the kids weren't grossed out by the "guts."
