2 weeks & It's Official

Nathan loves to be cuddled. He has received a lot of extra attention over the first 2 weeks of life and now it's down to business...we THREE at home together...without extra cuddlers around.

So--while I did take advantage of our anniversary to spiff up a bit-- on a more regular basis, this is what I look like these days:

(crazy hair, no make up, oily skin, pajama pants, stained t-shirt...you get the picture)

When Trevor gets home from work, Jackson is aching for some man-time--here they are practicing pedaling. The trike was found at a yard sale when Grandmama & Granddaddy were here and has become a favorite!
Another new outside favorite...going on walks.

We haven't gone on a lot of walks this summer (ahem...third trimester pregnancy + hot + humid do NOT mix), but it is cooling down *A BIT* and we're all getting kind of stir crazy , so we have been taking morning walks (so far so good--yesterday & today have had awesome breezes!).

At first, J was confused about why HE wasn't in the stroller (walks before involved him & the jogger), but he got used to the new routine fast. Baby N is in the stroller and he walks beside--sometimes even "helping" to push the stroller as we go along. The monkey-on-the-back (aka "leash") is quite helpful!

I still can't get over what a BIG BOY he is now that we have a baby in the house. Everything about him before seemed so little, and now everything seems so BIG.
One part of his BIG BOY status means he can crawl in & out of his crib by himself. This is an idea formulated originally by my Mom as we were trying to figure out how I was going to do everything when everyone left & I still can't lift anything over 10 lbs.

Trevor added some things to his ladder & now it's set up as a bona fide toddler ladder! haha It works great--in fact, this afternoon he climbed right into bed before I even came upstairs to get him ready for his nap!

I guess to reach official "big boy" status we need to switch him to a 'big boy bed'...for now, the crib is still his domain.

Baby N sleeps in a Moses basket that is nestled perfectly in the bassinet section of our pack n' play (located in our bedroom). HOWEVER, for most of the day when we're downstairs--he likes to chill out in the recliner:
While Baby N is chillin' out...guess who's grillin' out?

(ok that was totally cheesy. but hey. it's a blog. isn't that what it's all about??)

TREVOR loves his new grill. I had an awesome pic right here but somehow just deleted it.
BAH.

Last but not least--we have here, baby N smiling in his sleep. He does this ALOT and it melts my heart EVERY time.

He's now two weeks old, can you believe that?

And with all of the helpers gone & Trevor back to work full-time... I'm officially a SAHM to TWO little boys...which is even crazier to believe!

So far, there hasn't been anything terribly exciting to report, but I'm sure we'll have some crazy days ahead. I am just trying to keep them both happy in between snacks, nursing, play time, walks, naps, and down time.

Ok, back to it!

You are doing great! I am impressed that Jackson just climbed into bed...he STILL looks small in the crib...until that time Trevor put Nathan in there, who looked just like a little lumpy oval in there.
so he is getting better at peddling?

JUST got to catch up on everything since your first nursery visit. I have to say- you are getting ALOT of blogging in for having a newborn. But it does help to keep the sanity, right?! Seeing all of these pictures reminds me of bringing Spencer home and all the emotions that went with all of it. Just lounge, cry, cuddle and pray. :) And slowly, you will be on the other side of it and wondering where those little newborn-getting nothing done except feeding everyone- days have gone. All the baby pics are so so cute. And Jackson getting in and out of his crib by himself is priceless! He'll love a big boy bed when the time comes. Keep up the good work. And call/email if you ever need someone to dump on. Sometimes it's all you need and you can keep moving forward. ;)
