Morning Adventure Leaves Parents Amazed

8:30am Sleeping toddler is woken up by his loving mother

8:32am ...who proceeds to take a few duct tape diaper photos to display on her blog

8:35am Toddler surprises mother with a dry diaper and agrees to sit on the potty for a bit

8:45am Still nothing, so mother puts on diaper and gets toddler dressed. Mother is impressed with toddlers cheerful attitude, and is grateful--she is unsure how the morning will play out

8:50am Mother, father, and toddler load up into car--mother & father try to make sure toddler doesn't realize he hasn't had breakfast yet...as they drive down to the medical center

9:05am Toddler gets a special "anklet" as everything is being prepared for some lab work to be done--with his ferret & blanket in hand, he is as happy (and oblivious) as can be
9:10am Father reads a Curious George book to happy toddler...who is completely clueless about what is going on
9:15am A nice nurse holds toddler's arm while it gets prepped for blood to be drawn. Parents are more nervous than toddler--toddler is naively curious about what's going on, not so much concerned.
9:17am Needle is inserted while Mother & Father watch & cringe. Mother holds toddlers hand. Toddler doesn't even flinch. No crying, no moving, no squirming, no wimpering: NOTHING.
9:20am A few different orders for blood drawn* are taken, and then it's over! Toddler doesn't seem to mind a bit. He is excited to get some stickers and water to drink.
9:25am Nurses and staff are all VERY impressed. One staff member jokingly asks who he gets the tough genes from. Father is quick to admit they are not from him (as far as blood drawing goes).

9:30am Family leaves the medical center and stops for a celebratory breakfast--parents spend the rest of the morning amazed & in shock.

What a BRAVE little man!

*Routine blood checks coordinating with 2 year old well check plus one extra. Nothing to be concerned about at this point.
Evening UPDATE: All the tests showed the right results! All is well!

That is amazing. I don't know what to make of it. Though, when I think back, whenever I had to take one of you to the emergency room, you were always co-operative and relatively low-key. But still...not a whimper!
IMPRESSIVE.
